Our Classroom Soldier

 On Veterans Day I introduced the students to Mr. Franklin, who we adopted as our classroom soldier.  Mr. Franklin is in the Army National Guard and was recently deployed to Afghanistan.  We will be writing letters drawing pictures and putting together a care package to mail this Friday.  This will be the first of three care packages that we will be sending this school year.  If you would like to contribute to this care package, please feel free to do so.  Some things that could be included are: popcorn, Gatorade mix, Little Debbie snacks, Slim Jims, cards, hard candies and gummy candy.  Thank you in advance for your help!
